We offer design services throughout the DMV area, from historic colonial homes in the city to vacation homes on the coast. We approach each project with a fresh perspective and a desire to achieve a timeless aesthetic that feels warm and welcoming. As a full service firm, we assist with every aspect of the project from start to finish and have honed our design process to provide a truly exceptional client experience. Working closely with your contractor and tradespeople, we oversee the design and implementation so you can be sure the final result will be beautifully executed to welcome you home.

Driven by a desire to help people create homes they truly love, Diane founded Theo & Co. in 2019. After a career in public policy, she shifted her focus to raising her family and engaging in community service, discovering her talents for design along the way. Diane earned a certificate in Interior Design from the New York Institute of Art and Design to formalize her newfound passion.
Drawing from her diverse experience, Diane has an intuitive ability to understand her clients and create personalized designs that effortlessly reflect their tastes and style while accentuating the charm and character of their home.
Diane lives in Potomac, Maryland, with her husband, two daughters, and golden retriever, Odie. During her downtime, she enjoys sharing good conversation and a glass of wine with family and friends, boating in Solomons Island, and immersing herself in all things design.

Meet Diane Hemmersbaugh
The name Theo & Co. was inspired by Diane’s father, Theodore Baranik, to continue his legacy of giving to others. He served in public office because he was convinced that one person can make a difference. He also volunteered on the boards of numerous organizations, but most importantly was a source of support and inspiration to family, friends, and all who came in contact with him.
At the completion of each design project Theo & Co. makes a contribution to an organization, such as A Wider Circle, that assists and empowers people in need.
