I love starting the day with a walk or bike ride along the Mount Vernon Trail, taking in views of the Potomac before heading into Old Town to browse local boutiques or visit the Torpedo Factory Art Center, where working artists bring creativity to life in real time. Saturdays often include a stop at the farmers market, followed by a leisurely lunch at Southside 815 or Virtue Feed & Grain. For a more relaxed afternoon, Port City Brewing Company or Lost Boy Cider are favorite spots, while spring and summer evenings are best spent dining along the water at Hummingbird or Ada's on the River.
